 Arijit Singh to sing another popular song ''Main Nikla Gadi Leke" with Udit Narayan

The iconic song “Main Nikla Gadi Leke” will receive special treatment in the sequel, with Udit Narayan and Arijit Singh lending their voices to a reprised version. Mithoon has composed the music for the song.

Director Anil Sharma revealed that they have recreated “Main Nikla Gadi Leke” for the sequel. A source close to the production shared with News18, “The original version of ‘Main Nikla Gadi Leke’ was a peppy number that became a massive hit. Even after 22 years, the song continues to be a rage and a regular feature at parties and wedding functions.”

The source further added, “When the decision to recreate the song was made, the intention was to preserve the essence of the original while adding a fresh touch. Mithoon and the filmmakers decided to introduce a new voice, and they unanimously agreed that Arijit Singh would be the perfect choice.”

Additionally, the source revealed, “Alongside Arijit, the makers wanted to retain a nostalgic element in the song and decided to keep Udit Narayan’s vocals, as they didn’t want to tamper with the original track. It is believed that the new version will also feature Utkarsh Sharma, who plays Sunny Deol’s son in the film. Udit’s voice will represent Sunny’s character, while Arijit has lent his voice to Utkarsh.”

Confirming the exciting news, another source close to the film stated, “Yes, Arijit Singh will be co-singing the song with Uditji. Arijit and Uditji have created magic. The makers have respected the original track’s status as a classic adored by audiences for many years and have approached these recreations as a mark of respect to the original creator of the song, Uttam Singh.” Written by Anand Bakshi.

 

Regarding Gadar 2, Sunny Deol will reprise his iconic role as Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel will return as Sakeena

He also revealed, "Two of the songs are sung by Arijit Singh."

 

On this, Mithoon informed the press, "One of the songs sung by Arijit is called 'Dil Jhoom'. Lyrics written by   Sayeed Quadri. 

Mithoon also announced, "We are planning a Gadar 2 concert. It'll consist of live performances by the singers."
With Singh and Narayan collaborating for the reprised version of an already beloved song, fans eagerly await the release.
